Tim-

We were denied coverage by United Healthcare for Dane's DOC Band

because our policy doesn't cover orthotics. Yesterday I got your

article on Section 207. I want to make sure I am understanding this

correctly when I start my crusade against these turkeys. Since the

DOC Band is a class II " neurology device, " it shouldn't be

considered an orthotic.

I need to write yet another letter and want to make sure I am making

sense. I used to be pretty on top of this sort of stuff, but since

I have been home with the kids for over 2 years, I have had a

constant brainfart in regards to anything but dirty diapers and spit

up.

Another mom, , is in the same boat and I'm sure she will

appreciate some help too.
