Guest guest
This will be my second time attempting BFL. The program was introduced to me by my boyfriend about 3yrs ago but I did not attempt the program for atleast a year later after gaining 40lbs on a popular prescription weight loss pill. While on the program for 4 weeks i actually saw a change. It seems a lot easier than any other program i have tried. I have tried Weight Watchers and other fad diets, but only to end up weighing more than I did to begin. I am now approximately 218 lbs and i want to get down to 135-140lbs. But through searching the net I have never seen someone who has started off at my size and gets results. I have lots of fat and haven't seen a good muscle on my body in about 10yrs.i know this is not going to be an overnight transformation but i tend to get motivation by seeing others who are like me or worse off than I. Does anyone know of any good sites to visit?........Also my boyfriend will be starting the program next week with me.Our problem is eating out and having snacks around the house. He seems to think that having these items around the house isn't really bad but i don't want to fall into temptation. It seems that most guys don't have a big hang up over weight and being out of shape. So if I say something about our eating habits he looks at it as a obsession to want to lose weight and get fit. Does anyone have this problem out of there mate?
Guest guest
Check out the latest Muscle Media magazine. There's a 4 page article about Pam Brown. She lost a LOT! And now she's competing in contests. I have no desire to be on stage, but it's nice to see someone that was large and successfully lost weight on BFL. I'm about 190-195 pounds (probably 195 after my mom's holiday foods! My husband is going to work out with me but he hasn't read the book. I don't know if he'll officially work out BFL style or not. I'd be happy to email you privately if you want to be buddies. Melinda in TN aga , anjnatae76 <angelanjackson@h...> " <angelanjackson@h...> wrote: > This will be my second time attempting BFL. Guest guest
Welcome to the group! Congrats on deciding to make a change too! But you have to remember that you are doing this for yourself and can't let other peoples opinions and things get to you. If your boyfriend thinks that having snacks in the house is okay, then make him put them away somewhere where HE knows where it is and if HE wants to cheat, let him. LOL And if he thinks you wanting to get healthy is an obsession to lose weight and get fit then let him! I am proud to say I am obsessed with losing weight and getting fit. I figure it's better than being obsessed with anything else right? And it's not like this program is BAD for you or anything! So if you wanna be obsessed then I'll be obessed with you!!! LOL Good luck! ~kim newbie for the 2nd time! This will be my second time attempting BFL.
