a little update and a brag

Hi all,

I have been having a rough, busy week here - my kids went back to school the

last week of August, but my 6th grader has convinced me to let her try

the virtual school route - it is called Ohio Connections Academy. This has meant

ALOT more work than I expected for myself, and I think these kids get lots more

work assigned than what any regular public (or probably private!) school usually

assigns kids. She is doing well, but I am watching her, otherwise I think she

would skip some things.

So, that is how I spend most of my days. I had looked forward to some free time

with all kids in school all day this year, but it is not happening.

This past week, my 9 yr old was constipated so badly that he missed 3

days of school, and the dr almost suggested I take him to the er if he couldn't

pass a bm! doesn't have any delays, but he has been prone to constipation

in the past. This was terrible, though. He was in such pain. I felt so bad for

him. I ended up giving him several doses of Olivia's Miralax, and a few

suppositories, and he is on the mend now.

But my brag is about Olivia - I got an email yesterday about the new 2009 DSACO

(DS Association of Central Ohio) calendar, and an attachment to preview it.

Well, I click on it, and here pops up Olivia's face - she is on the cover!!!

It's a great photo, too. My brother took it, when we all rode a train in

southern Ohio. I'll see if I can't post it in the photos section.

hopefully, Ike didn't cause too much trouble for you.
