We got our original and second scripts from our craniofacial plastic

surgeon. Our ped had no opinion on banding. It is like it doesn't

exist here in land. The plastic surgeon said he didn't really

think needed a second band. I wrote him a letter stating our

reasons why we thought we should continue treatment with a second

band, such as other parents not seeing any additional progress after

graduation and the fact that two of his measurements were still over

6mm off. He wrote the script for the second band without a problem.

has gone through the biggest growth spurt in the last month and

a half. I am very glad I continued the treatment.

Thanks for replying so quickly!

If needed I will also write a letter to the dr. We expect she will

say he doesn't need a second band because she said he didn't need a

first.

I am not looking for Dane to measure 0, I just want him to

be at least average. Hopefully he won't need a second band, but I

want to have all my ducks in a row in case we go through this

again.

BTW - We are changing insurance 5/1, so if we do band, I get to

start all over again with another insurance company, MMO, but I hear

they are GREAT about paying! Yeah!

How long do you expect to be in his second band?

CT said because of his age (14 mo. at 2nd banding) he would probably

need to be in the second band another five months so ten months in

all.
