Guest guest
Gail I had Dane's 6 months pictures taken in the band. I am kind of a realist when it comes to pictures. I want to remember it exactly as it was. Besides, he is in the band so much that he looks funny to me without it! You can always do 1/2 with the bands and half without! Guest guest
Gail: I never had any professional pictures taken of Abby while wearing her DOCband or STARband.....I really regret not having any taken . I of course have plenty of snapshots of her in her bands, but wish I would've had some professional ones taken. Of course the decision is yours. If you go to Sears or Penneys you can always get different poses w/diff. backgrounds & have some taken with their bands on and some w/o their bands. Plain white bands are cute! Or put some pretty spring stickers on the bands to decorate a little, or just stickers spelling their names! Very cute, esp. w/twins. Let us know what you decide to do. Guest guest
Hi Gail! I would do both. Most places allow you to change their clothes, so why not remove their bands. The band is part of who they are right now, so my opinion is to have at least take one with the band. If you don't like the way the picture turns out, don't buy it. Happy six months Sara and Sam!!! Guest guest
Gail, This one is entirely up to you and how you feel. We never had any portraits done while the twins were in their bands, but it wasn't because of the bands. It was just because I only have the patience to deal with portraits once a year, at Christmas time (I know, bad mommy here!) Had they been wearing their bands during Christmas time, I probably would have left the bands off. Not because I would be embarrassed or ashamed, because I wasn't, its just what I would prefer to do, and I know thats what my husband would want too. I know I'm not much help with this one, this is one of those tough personal decisions. I like 's idea of half on and half off. Let us know what you decide! Guest guest
Hi I plan on getting Mya's 10 month pictures taken at Sears and I am buying them by the sheet. That way I can do half the pictures in her band and then half without. I had origonally planned on just doing them in the band but then family was complaining they didnt want pictures of just the band they wanted to see all of Mya so I am making every one happy. ANd it will be nice to have some pics of her pretty little face without the band too. ANyway just thought Id give my 2 cents Christi mom to MYa (DOC band 3/6/02) > Sara and Sam are 6 months old today and I am planning on getting > their portraits taken in the next week. Guest guest
Gail - I am sure they will look adorable either way. I can't say that I have had Naomi's picture professionally done while she has been in her band, but it certainly wouldn't stop me. I think the babies look so cute in the bands, but I just might be a little biased (with or without decoration). So, maybe as someone suggested, a little of both. It certainly wouldn't hurt and I bet you end up picking the ones where they wear the bands. After all, you get so used to seeing your children in them, that they almost look strange without them. Good luck. Mom to Naomi (STARband 2/8/02 - almost done) > Sara and Sam are 6 months old today and I am planning on getting > their portraits taken in the next week. Guest guest
I also agree that you can get pictures taken with and without the band. That way you have memories of your twins both ways. It's a personal choice. Personally, I do not plan on taking any pictures of with his helmet. (not even snapshots). This is honestly one journey I would like to forget once it's done. Since I don't plan on talking to about his plagio when he gets older (unless he asks ofcourse or when he's 40 haha)...I see no point. Again, it's up to you and whatever your comfortable with. Good luck . I'm sure the pictures will be beautiful whatever you decide:-) Dana (mom to ) Ont. --- In Plagiocephaly@y..., " momofivftwins " <momofivftwins@a...> wrote: > Sara and Sam are 6 months old today and I am planning on getting > their portraits taken in the next week. Guest guest
I responded to this post earlier today but it never showed up. Anyway, I'll write the shorter version. Personally, I won't be taking any professional pictures of in his helmet. In fact, I probably won't be taking any pictures of in his helmet period. My hubby and I have decided that doesn't need to know about his crooked noggin (unless he asks ofcourse or when he's 40 whichever comes first). This is one journey we would rather not be reminded of once it's over However, I'm sure the twins will look adorable no matter what you decide. The spring theme sounds kind of cute! Good luck! Guest guest
We took all pictures (many many pictures - ours and professional) with my daughter's band on. Its now off and after 8-1/2 months in her band, we barely recognize her!! I think it is part of who the kids are at this age/phase of their life so we left it on. Why hide the fact in a formal portrait when all the snapshots have it on?? My 2 cents...
