Guest guest
Jill, Yeah - I think that is the right advice. If she starts seriously repositioning them now she may not have to deal with helmets/bands later. Is she on the internet? Could you direct her to www.plagiocephaly.org/support for some repositioning tips? Also if she has internet access maybe she could check out the following links for plagio repositioning tools: Butterfly pillow: www.snuglbuds.com Boppy pillow: www.onestepahead.com Repositioning aid: www.safetsleep.com Plagiocephaly Pillow: http://www.piloxs.com/products/productpages/PillowHead.htm It's great that she will have a chance with repositioning because you were on your toes and willing to share advice and support. Guest guest
Jill, I would think as long as she doesn't put them on their stomachs and turns their heads to each side alternately for naps, it sure wouldn't hurt! What a great friend you are to look out for the well-being of her children!! Way to go mom! How is Gavin doing with walking around? Is he getting more sure of himself now that he's taken those steps? Guest guest
I think it's a good idea to start repositioning now. I didn't start with my twins until 2 1/2 to 3 months, and I didn't see that it made any difference, but by then they were starting to change their own positions and turn their heads to the side they preferred already. Your friend has a good chance to really make a difference for her twins. Because they were born so early, there is a good chance that they were not affected by intra-uterine constraint like mine were. Good luck to her! Gail, Sara and Sam's mom, , TX On repositioning Hello everybody, I have a classmate who gave birth to twins a month ago and is now back in class. Sure enough, her twins have "major" (I quote) flat spots already! I advised her to start repositioning immediately. Was this right? Her babies were born at 32 weeks so they are REALLY young.Jill Ramos, Las Vegas, NV
