Guest guest
Hi. I was wondering for those of you who have babies in the doc band, what was the measurement they had on cranial vault before they started treatment? Also for , how old is your baby and when did tell you that the tort might be resolved? She told us 8 more weeks since we haven't been stretching Sydney's upper traps. She is 8 months old and we have been stretching since she was 2 months. That's what happens when you don't have an experienced pt. She is very mild, but we still have a lot of strengthening to do. Talk to you all later!
Guest guest
Hi, my son's cranial vault when he started in the DOCband was 16mm off. Going into his second band he was 7mm off. Regarding tort, 's is pretty much resolved. He only tilts a little when he is tired or sick. He is almost 16 months old. He always would only clap holding his left hand still and using his right. Yesterday for the first time I saw him clapping with BOTH hands. To me it was a true sign he was really resolving all those tort issues. Candy, mom to (DOCband #1, 10/5/01, #2, 2/25/02) land > Hi. Guest guest
Dane is 7 months. We started seeing in late January/early Feburary. He had biweekly appointments and last month we were told he could go a month without PT. Dane is pretty mild and I am vary bad about stretching him. He wasn't born with tort. We were told at the hospital to only lay him on his right side. Being on only the right side for 8 weeks damaged his neck muscle and gave him plagio. I was told he will be resolved when he has 3 growth spurts without tightening up. His cranial vault was 14mm. before he got his band. > Hi. Guest guest
Hi & welcome to the group Is Sydney already in the DOCband? If so, how is it going? Or has she just recently been casted or scheduled? My daughter is a DOCband graduate but they never took any actual measurements of her head, so I can't help you with your question. I am sorry to hear you had a bad experience with Sydney's 1st pt. How frustrating! But you should be happy you're seeing (I'm assuming it's Karmel Ross right?) now. I've heard she's one of the best of the best with resolving tort.. My daughter didn't have tort., but a lot of our memebers children did or do have it & I am sure they'll help you with that. Good luck & welcome again Debbie Abby's mom DOCGrad MI > Hi.
