Guest guest
My son gets a stipend from the school for his work. SSI does not count stipends. When he works a regular job and makes more then $85 a month I am suppose to send in the pay stubs. I say suppose because I just got the letter telling me that I didn't do it in June,July and August of 2007!!!! Now I talked to a few parents and they told me I have to send the pay stubs in and get letters back from SSI telling me each month how his money will change and get nasty letters and such, They said to just keep sending in stubs monthly and SSI will work it all out EVENTUALLY. Seems to me it would be a whole lot easier if they just made less then $85 a month and did volunteer work!! As long as my son gets a check every week (no matter how small) from a real job he doesn't care. Seems like a lot less work on my part if he volunteers.
