I need help fighting CIGNA

My 5 month old son needs to be fitted for and start

wearing a DOC band to help correct his plagiocephaly.

CIGNA sent us our official denial letter yesterday. I

was hoping to find someone that could help me. I have

read a few messages and see that there are some

success stories out there. If any one has any ideas

or suggestions on how to best proceed, please let me

know. It is such a great thing to know that there are

other parents out there willing to help us out.

Hi & welcome. You said you saw some posts already, I'm hoping you

read 's post (Owen's mom).....I beleive she said it's ok to

email her directly for Cigna help so you might want to try that. She

fought & fought until Cigna finally approved her son's DOCband.

You can also check out the " bookmarks " section on the board, then go

to " help folder " then click " insurance issues " ....there's some

information about Cigna in there too.

I really hope Cigna starts gettng their act together & paying for

these bands! So many of our posts recently have been about Cigna's

denials.

Best of luck & please keep us updated. Do you have an appt yet for

your son to be casted or are you waiting for ins. approval?
