Guest guest
Hi everyone. It has been a while since my last post. Been sooo busy. My husband got back last week from being gone for 7 weeks so I was getting ready for that and then now that hes back I have been so busy. But anyway Mya is doing great in her band. At her last visit to CT they had to trim part of her band around her ear because her ear is shifting. YEAH!! And we can see her head is changing! Its great. SHe is doing so well in it. SHe has another irritated part on her forehead which they said is from sweating so bad. Because boy has she been sweating. Here it is APril and we already have our air conditioner on. Its been in the 80s and 90s. But she seems to be doing well. Just wanted to let you all know how we are doing. Our appointments are now 10 days apart so that gives me a little bit of a breather in between trips. DOes anyone have any suggestions on how to help Mya in the heat. WE would like to take a trip to the zoo this weekend but dont know if that would be too unbearable for Mya. ANy suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks Christi mom to MYA (DOC band 3/6/02)
Guest guest
Christi, It sounds like Mya is doing great in her band and making good progress already. That is really wonderful! As far as the zoo goes I say take the band off while you are there. If the temps are in the 80s and 90s it would probably be unbearable for her! Thanks for the update! Guest guest
Hi Christi: Good to hear from you again. I bet you're happy to have your husband home, 7 wks is a long time for him to be gone. I'm glad to hear Mya is doing so well in her DOCband . YAY....that's also good news you only need to go to CT every 10 days, it makes a big difference I'm sure! Tell Mya to keep up with her rounding head . Debbie Abby's mom DOCgrad MI > Hi everyone. It has been a while since my last post. Been sooo > busy. Guest guest
Christi, I agree with Marci on that one- I would take the band off of if it was going to be miserable. A couple of hours will not make or break the progress in my opinion! ' Mom
