Guest guest
Hello. My son was diagnosed with mild to moderate plagiocephaly. We had him get treatment at Childrens Hospital in Seattle where he was fitted for a helmet at 8 1/2 months. He has worn the helmet 6 months and we have seen some correction. The helmet itself it very flat in the back and we saw inprovement with rounding on the sides but the back has remained flat. He is now 15 months old and I wonder if there is anything else we can do. Is it to late to get a band and how would one go about this. The closest place to get a band, I was told was in California. I just wonder if anyone has any suggestions. I feel like I should have done more and that I probably have wasted valuable time. Maybe I will just have to accept that his head will be flat in the back. I feel a very helpless. Thank you for any input.
Guest guest
: First let me say, you have already done everything you could to help your son....don't feel like you haven't done enough! At 15 mos you could still get a band & you'd have better luck with an aggressive style at your son's " older " age. Have you checked into Angel Flight for traveling IF the only place you could get an active band would be CA? Angel Flight flies people for medical reasons at no charge to many Cranial Technology locations. Let me find their information & get back with you if you're interested. Sorry that you haven't gotten the correction you would like . Debbie Abby's mom DOCgrad MI > Hello. > > My son was diagnosed with mild to moderate plagiocephaly.
