Guest guest
A great big 'Thank you' to everyone out there who read my entire "novel" and gave me much needed words of encouragement, praise (for our efforts), and your very own inspirational stories. Believe me, I have valued everything that you have said, your thoughts on all of this mean very much to me. I am so glad I have found these groups - (although later than I would have liked to - I wish I would have known about them before started his therapies) you all have been of tremendous help to me. Even my husband has been reading your replies (I have been Forwarding them to him!) and he is so impressed with the closeness that us tort/plagio moms have.. A special thanks to Dulcey Lima, Clinical Education Manager at Orthomerica (makers of the STARband) for the very informative letter she emailed me. Thank you so much for taking the time to research all of the info. on plagio and tort that you gave me and also thank you for your concern. I'm sorry that I can not reply you each of you personally, but my mind is still not really with it. Too much going on in there!! At some point I plan to get back to the ones who asked me questions. If I do not, please post them again and I will try and answer them. I'll let you all kow what is going on as of now. I contacted EI, they are getting us a new PT. HOORAY!! She is to call me back some time today to see what she has come up with. So far this afternoon I have not heard anything. I am going to be rather picky!! I hope I never have to see his old PT again!! No, I take that back I WISH I would see her again so I could tell her what a * & ^)(##*@ PT she is!!!!!!!!!!! I was so mad I wanted to call her myself, but hubby said "Don't do it"!!!! Still have not decided what we are going to do about the banding, although I am leaning towards saying -- NO. The measurements may be saying "SEVERE" -- but, I'm sorry, I (we) just do not see it!!!!!!!!!!!!! My husband says NO band!! The slight flatness that he has, we are OK with it. The facial asymmetry, no matter how "SEVERE" it may be, well we just do not see that either, mild maybe - but not "severe". We're hoping that the tightness from the tort will help with the facial/jaw asymmetry. Once that tightness is worked out, then hopefully the asymmetry will be somewhat alleviated. Thanks again to all of you!! I will keep you posted with everything. AnnMarie & (14 mos.) STAR grad Left Tort
Guest guest
Ann Marie: Thanks so much for your update. I did read your " novel " yesterday, but I never replied to it - so sorry! I can imagine how extremely confused you were and still are. I looked at 's picture, he's adorable & looks very good to my " plagio police " eyes, hehe. That's great news you'll be getting a new therapist! I really understand how bitter you are, you feel like you've wasted so much valuable time that you can never get back.....but move on & go from here. Easier said than done, I know, but as the old saying goes " there's no use crying over spilled milk " . Let us know when you find out about a new PT....I'm sure you'll put that person to the tort. test!!!!!!! LOL Hang in there.
