Guest guest
<<Just wondering, is there anyone else out there like me who likes fast food.....forget the food, just go ahead and inject the fat right into my blood stream.>> MEE!! Ooh, me! Me! Me! I am a connoisseur of fast food. I watch television for a living. So, I spend eight hours of every day being bombarded with fast food commercials. I try every new sandwich, every dessert. Love those Oreo McFlurries at Mc's. Banana cream pie shakes from Sonic. I like those 700 calorie mandarin chicken salads from 's. Don't even get me started on that new deep dish pepperoni lovers from Pizza Hut. There is a trick to being a *thin* fast food junkie though. You only indulge one day a week. That was the beauty thing about BFL for me. Bill never said no more french fries or no more quarter pounders. He just said to save it for one day a week. I can manage that. I can get through a whole week without panic or cravings because I know I can still have whatever greasy slop I want on my free day. :-) During the week, I would suggest not cutting your dietary fat too low. That's when drive-thru freaks tend to lose it. You might supplement with flax oil, or at least make sure to include some healthy fats each day - salmon, nuts, avocado, olive oil, stuff like that. Don't go crazy, but include a little fat (5-10g) at each meal. You'll feel better and stick to the program better. Some meal suggestions would be like chicken and avocado slices in a tortilla wrap, a can of tuna with a little oil and vinegar dressing on salad greens, a protein shake and apple slices with a little peanut butter on them, grilled salmon and veggies for dinner. Stuff like that. Also, I use 2% for all my dairy. Most fat free stuff just leaves me grossed out and still hungry.
