Guest guest
When I read your post, I thought that I wrote it, but could not remember when. I, too, am from Seattle, and went to Children's for our diagnosis. My son started treatment at 10 months, and has had it on for 8 so far. He may have a few to go. I thought the exact same thing about the helmet, that it looks flat in the back, but then I came to the conclusion that it is round when you look into it. I am happy with the front and side of his head, but not the back. It is still flat. Symmetrical now, but still flat and wide. He had mild to moderate, and now I feel that it is mild. I am still very unhappy about the back though. I called CT today, and they said that they do band kids up to 18 months but they can't guarantee anything. I think that we will continue with therapy for a few more months, and accept his head shape. He still has no hair, so when his hair thickens, I am sure that we will see even more results. Since your child is 15 months, from what I understand, CT will band him. Do you think that the helmet has caused more flattening in the back, and what did it look like before the helmet? Lori.
