Guest guest
Colleen, Here are a couple links to see what it looks like. We have both the orange flowers and the yellow flowers here in NY, and I can't remember if both grow in the South. But, the flowers wouldn't be out yet for sure, and the plant is best gathered before it blooms anyway. http://www.scienceu.com/library/articles/flowers/jewelweed.html http://www.fcps.k12.va.us/StratfordLandingES/Ecology/mpages/spotted_j ewelweed.htm It grows in clumps in damp areas, usually near a stream, although I've seen lots of it on roadsides. The leaves are silvery and water repellant. That's the true id for it when it's not in bloom. It's the forerunner to Gortex. lol Just run water over the leaves, and it beads up in crystals. Good luck. I hope you can get some releif quickly. Itching is no fun. > > I'll have to ask around about the jewelweed. Guest guest
Colleen, This stuff is wonderful if you can find it! I have it in soap right now but can't wait till it starts growing again around here. This could do the trick for you! Katy K wrote: >Colleen, >Here are a couple links to see what it looks like.
