We've been using my cell phone camera to make our Christmas lists....

since about October, every time someone says " hey Mom, I want this " I

hand them my phone and have the take a photo and poof, it's on the

Christmas list. My youngest (age 9) even can add text, like the store

name or size. The, I can help out grandmas by having detailed Christmas

lists rather than " a sweatshirt " it's " the polka dot sweatshirt from

Aeropostal, size L, on sale until Sunday. " My mom especially likes

this, since she doesnt' like to buy gift cards, and has a hard time

finding things for her many grandkids.

Wow, that was good thinking on her part. I just got a new phone and it also

acts as a scanner. I can scan items and see what the item cost and where it

can be found cheaper. Tim has played with it, I am still trying to figure

out how to program in new numbers. :) And Tim was so excited about my

phone, he is desperately trying to get one just like it (G1) and it's on

backorder.

likes to talk on the phone, I tried to get him to use my old cell.

I had my favorite 5 on the main menu (with picture) - he just asked me to

call people for him. He is nosy about who calls and often wants the phone

so he can talk.

Wow. I wouldn't mind having a phone like that.

has taken to her phone like a duck to water. It was a big mistake on

my part ot try to insist she learn to use a phone before I would buy her

cell. It would seem having a cell phone has cured her of her phone shyness.

She called me from Sunshine today just to see how I was doing. She's already

programmed her best buddy in and has called her best cuz and her sister. She

tried calling her youngest brother, but he wasn't home. She even remembered

to put it on the charger when she went to bed last night. I'm so proud of

her. Another milestone!

Ramona (25) called her sister the first day that she had her phone. I

found this out when she brought the phone in to me at around midnight,

and said " Elena wants to talk to you " . Elena lives in NYC, we live on

the west coast. LOL! I had failed to establish 'time to call'

parameters....live and learn.
