Hi & welcome to our group!

Would you mind sending 's before & after pictures to our group

if you have a scanner? placiocephaly Why is 's

treatment complete if you still feel he needs addt'l correction? Is

the band too small now? Did they offer a 2nd band?

I have a similar story to yours I guess. My daughter Abby wore a

STARband from 8 mos - 11 mos of age. Abby however, rec'd no

correction while she wore her STARband, it only made her head a

little worse. Our orthotist was not very well experienced in

treating plagiocephaly patients with the STARband.

After nearly 3 mos time in the STARband, we decided to switch Abby

into a DOCband made by Cranial Technologies. Abby was 11.5 mos old

when we got her the DOCband, she wore one band for 4.5 mos with very

good results. Abby's plagio was considered severe.

The key to success with a STARband is a trained orthotist. Do you

know if your orthotist had treated any other plagio patience with the

STARband?

I'm sorry, I have to cut this short, Abby's upset. I hope to hear

from you more. Sorry you're not confident w/your results.

Hi and welcome to the group! I am sorry to hear that you are not too

satisfied with the results has gotten so far. I am fairly

certain that there have been cases where a child has been rebanded.

And if you are going to do so, its best to act sooner rather than

later. Would you mind posting 's before and after pics for us

to see? Since you do have some doubts, is it possible for you to

interview another ortho and get a second opinion? Where are you

located? If there is a Cranial Tech clinic nearby, they might be

able to give you a free evaluation. Good luck to you and ,

please keep us updated.
