Guest guest
My grandson will be 3 in November. He is expecting a new brother at the end of December. In an effort to get him prepared for the new arrival my son and daughter-in-law have moved him to a toddler bed which has side rails. The bed uses the same mattress that was in his crib but he is having problems with keeping on the mattress. From what my son has told me he is moving around alot and sometimes they find him in unusual sleeping positions or on the floor. They still use the baby monitor so they are aware when he is moving around so he is in no danger of hurting himself. This is my question..has anyone else had these type of sleeping issues when moving from crib to bed and do you have suggestions how to make the tranistion easier? Should he still be in his crib a while longer or is it just an ajustment issue? There have been times when he has awaken at night and had fun pulling all of his dirty clothes out of the hamper.(lol) When he does wake up at night they have difficulties getting him to settle back down to sleep. He slept through the night in his crib. Just curious how others have handled the transition process.
