Okay, here is my slant on this. Whenever I take to the public library

she has a poopy diaper almost immediately. I swear it is the craziest thing,

but if was ever constipated I'm certain I could take her to the library

and she would have a poopy. I really feel like it has to do with something

being very comforting and relaxing. The bath is comforting and relaxing so

she probably cannot even control herself. The same applies for and the

library (as strange and bizarre as it sounds). More then likely Mya will grow

out of it as she learns to control those poopies a little better. The only

think I might suggest is having a little potty seat in the bathroom and after

she's been in the tub for a minute or two you might whip her out of there and

set her on the potty seat for a moment or two and see if you can redirect the

poopy. She's pretty young for that so it might not work. has pooped a

few times in the tub, but now that she is older (27 months) she tells me if

she needs to get out and use the potty. Whenever I am getting ready to put

her in the tub she says, " no poopy in the tub, poopy in the potty " and I

agree that she is 100% correct!! It's actually kinda funny!!

Good luck!!

Hi I know this is really gross but I need some help. EVery single

time I give Mya a bath she poops in it (SHES 10 months old today) It

doesnt matter what time of day I give her a bath . I was trying to

create a routine and every night after dinner Id give her a bath.

Well Ive tried changing bath time because I thought maybe since she

just ate maybe thats why she was going. But noooo It doesnt matter

when, she poops every single time. And I just dont know what to do

about it. I never had this problem with my other children. They

pooped a couple times in the tub but Mya feels the tub is her toilet

I guess who knows. Anyway this has been going on for a couple of

months now and I am at my wits end. ANy one have this problem? ANy

suggestions!!

Thanks

Christi:

I cannot help but to crack up over your post! Abby did the exact same

thing for 2-3 mos with EVERY stinking bath I gave her! Like you, it

didn't matter what time I bathed her! She was also about the same

age, maybe a bit older than Mya, it was last spring/summer, so Abby

was around 1. It drove me crazy! I of course scolded her telling

her how acky & naughty that was to do. Just last week she wanted out

of the tub in a hurry, so I took her out, she squatted on the rug &

did her business! I wasn't too happy about that, but at least she

knew to get the heck out of the tub.

I figured the reason she was doing it was becuz of the warm bath

water was probably relaxing her? That was a guess, but there was

honestly nothing I could do to get her to stop! I feel for ya! Make

sure you have lots of bleach in your house for that after poop bath

clean up ;).

I just have to add my goofy poop story to this. Sara is not a very good pooper. She goes only 2-3 times a week, which is not normal for a breast-fed 6-month old. Well, she poops EVERY time we walk into Cranial Technologies. What do you make of that?

LOL Gail, she must have blocked out her dreaded casting & knows she

is in good hands so she can relax :). That's cute.

Christi -

I thank God I don't have this problem with either kid. We have

always had " clean " baths!

Could you put her in a swim diaper and then wash her bootie last

that way the tub isn't contaminated?

I guess you have problems at both of Mya's ends (head and bootie)!

Oh Christi, I am so sorry to laugh because I can tell this is serious

for you, but it really did make me chuckle! I'm sorry that I don't

have any advice for you, but I liked 's idea of a swimmie a

lot. Hang in there, and let us know what finally works for you!
