Hi

I'm one of those that read a lot and hardly ever write on this list,

so I should start with a short re-introduction:

Name:

Kids: Zacharina (soon 10 y/o), Xerxes (soon 10 y/o), Majken 5½ y/o

and Klaudia 1 y/o. Xerxes has Down syndrome.

Live: Sala, Sweden, Europe

That done I have a quetion for you that might sound a little strange.

I'm not sure I have all the correct English words for everything, but

I'll try anyway. This question arise in the Swedish -DS-group.

If a student goes to a special education class and succed very well,

can she use her grades from that class to aply for collage and

university?

In Sweden grades from Special Education School will not give access

to higher education, no matter how good the student are.

Yours

Mama to four

Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas, Santa has already been here and

are on his way over to you.

Special Education grades do not count in Texas. However, my

(35/DS) has taken a few college courses, tailor-made for MR adults.

The program was federally-funded but abandoned eight years ago. I'm

hoping it will be started again after January 20th.
