Guest guest
Hi everyone Last night we went to our 4H Club Thanksgiving Dinner and award ceremony. got his 7th Year award pin for activities in 4H. Although he joined in 1998, they gave him a 7 Year Pin, which is a very nice award in itself. He has been active in photography, cooking, clowning, bowling, and self determined projects the past few years. Earlier in the 2000s, he and the other kids did the Special Market Lamb project where t(he)y helped with raising a lamb and then got to show it and sell it at the fair. If your kids are not already involved in 4H, I urge you to get them involved. The first club we belonged to (1998-2005) was exclusively for kids with special needs. Now we belong to a regular club. In 4H you learn a lot and it helps build character and self esteem as well as socialization skills. And you can live in town (we do) or in the country or in an urban area or a rural area. Dad to , Kristi, (all three who have Down syndrome) and (Cri du chat) Husband to C. in Mo. (but currently in Calif.) Uncle Daddy to and in Calif. (both of whom have Down syndrome) BIL to in Calif. Have a nice day.
