Guest guest
seems irritated during the day by the helmet. I think because of the sweatiness. I'm going to try dressing her lighter. If that doesn't work I'll have air holes drilled At night she was fine, except lately. She just learned to roll over (not back)and is on her belly everytime I turn around. The helmet digs into her face and I was thinking maybe removing it at night. Its like she's naturally repositioning herself. anyone else have this problem?? Thanks again (MOM2SHANNON) Re: (PositionalPlagioSupport) Hi My son has a locally made helmet and there is 4 holes on the top to allow heat to escape. If he never had these holes, he would have melted away.My son is also not adjusting well to the helmet during the day. A night he is fine. Hang in there. I KNOW how hard it is when they don't adjust right away.Dana (mom to )helmet 04/17/02> Sunflower> Hello,> > Its been a while since I posted. My computer went down. I'm sure I miss a lot of interesting info. I know I missed having you all to lean on. A quick update has her NICband for about a month. She had some trouble with the fit in the beginning. Her orthist remolded and the one does seem to fit better. She's not adjusting that well, she really hates it being on. especially when the weather got warm. (Very sweaty). I know they can put air holes but I don't know if that would help. Anyone have any thoughts?> > take care,> > (MOM2SHANNON)For more plagio info
Guest guest
, We have some members who say their babies have been trying to sleep on their face, but I'm kind of at a loss as to what could be done about that. I will say, however, that it would be best NOT to remove the band at night. It is my understanding that babies do some significant growing at night and that is when the band is most effective - when the baby is growing!! Good luck with that - I'm sure it must be very frustrating! Marci (Mom to ) Oklahoma
Guest guest
, Definitley dressing in lighter clothes will help with the sweating. Also, if you have ceiling fans or any other sort of fan, leave them on too to help cool her off a bit. I would suggest that you call your ortho and relay to them about the helmet digging into 's face when she's on her belly. An adjustment may be in order here. Good luck!
