Caring Ana

Hello group,

I just wanted to share this with you: Ana (16) has been an incredible,

loving, caring, " little nurse " to his dad these past few days. My

husband had a small surgery in his foot last Thursday, (yes, on

Thanksgiving Day!, but in Belgium is just an ordinary day, it is not a

holiday) and he has to use crutches. Since that day, Ana is so

attentive to whatever my husband needs; she feels so happy to be of

help, and of course my husband loves it! (I do too!) Normally Ana

likes to help, but it has to be whenever SHE wants, not when she is

being asked. It was funny to see her that she also had her foot

resting on a cushion (just like my husband) and trying to use the

crutches.

Hope you all had a nice Thanksgiving Day, a tradition I learned to

love and miss very much; even though is American, it has been adopted

by many Latin American countries, along with the complete special menu

for that holiday: turkey, cranberry sauce, pumpkin pie, but in

Belgium is not observed.

That is so sweet of Ana. Such empathy! She even wants to know what it's like

to be on crutches. She is teaching us all a good lesson here.
