Hello and welcome - I think you will be surprised to hear how many parents we

have in this group who started at 12 months and older and got some excellent

correction. You will hear from one of our moderators, Debbie, whose baby

started at 11.5 months and got some great correction! My daughter started at

9 months and wore it until she was 15 1/2 months and we are very happy with

the correction she got.

I think you will be very satisfied with the DOCband - they have done some

great things with older babies. Just like you said - to try and get at least

a little correction is better then not trying at all!

Best wishes and please keep us posted.

Hi Robyn and welcome we are so glad you found us and I think you will be too.

We have many many members that have begun treatment late so I am sure you

will receive many testimonies and encouragement. 12 months is still OK and I

am sure you will see some improvement and the nice thing is you are realistic

about it-which will make the improvement you see all the better. We used the

DOC band too and we thrilled and I think it is a great device and you will

too. If you can tell us more about you and your son and where are you from?

We may have some members close to y you. Welcome again and please keep us

posted on your casting and fitting date as well as your little pumpkins

progress!

Hi Robyn,

Welcome to the group!! I have heard of many parents banding over the age of

1 year, and I think the DOC band is great because it uses mild pressure as

opposed to a passive helmet. I think you are a great mom for checking into

this and not giving up hope- there is still plenty of time to get some

correction, even if its not 100%- it will help and that's what's important!

Good luck to you all and I hope your little one gets huge growth spurts with

the band on!! Please keep us posted!
