casting today

Hi All,

Well, it has been a long time since I last wrote. We

have been really busy. I thought I would let you know

that we were successful in our insurance appeal and

Annika is getting casted today for her DocBand.

We gave it every opportunity to round itself out, but

we just weren't seeing any positive results. She is

now 11.5 months and we figure we don't have much time

left if we are going to do it. I am still really

nervous. I just hope that we are doing the best thing

for our daughter.

Anyway, just thought I would give you a status. We

will keep you posted on the results.

I hope all went well for you at the casting, as much as can be expected!

It's not fun but it does seem to end quickly and I hope she was all smiles

after that. I think your making a decision that you have really thought long

and hard about and I know you will not regret it. It can only help- and you

will probably be surprised how well she will adjust to it. Please let us

know how it went and how your doing. It's usually harder on us parents to

take than it is our kids!

Hi Tami and thanks for the update. I don't think in the 1.5 years I've been

in this group that I've ever heard someone say that they regretted banding

their baby. That's not to say that it wasn't stressful, but the rounder head

and healthier baby is worth it!
