HI :

Abby first wore the STARband from age 8-11 mos.. Abby had no

improvement while in her STARband. Abby's orthotist was not very

well educated in treating plagio babies with the band, therefore we

had no success in the band.

I then decided to switch Abby into a DOCband. We drove about 4 hrs

one way bi weekly. Abby rec'd her DOCband at age 11.5 mos, wore one

band for 4.5 mos with good correction of her severe plagio..

For us, the STARband did not work. This is why I stress to everyone

the importance of a trained/experienced orthotist. That is the key.

Abby's STARband never fit her properly, it was very assymetrical &

tight.

Have you met your orthotist to be yet? Probably not if you haven't

yet been casted. I suggest checking out the following link for an
