Guest guest
I need even more advice with this stupid face to face appeal with UHC! We are denied coverage because there is an orthotics exclusion in our policy. I was under the impression that a DOC Band was not considered an orthotic by the FDA. I guess I was wrong in assuming that. I just spoke with at Cranial Tech and she said that the FDA does classify it as an Class II Orthosis. I thought it was a Neurology device, but she said it wasn't. Should I even bother with this appeal then? Our friend from the Wall Street Journal said a collegue of his whose son has plagio offered to sit in on the conference call with us. I don't want to look like a complete fool with a reporter there! Help! Dane's mom (DOC Band 2/14)
