Guest guest
Hello, Its been a while since I posted. My computer went down. I'm sure I miss a lot of interesting info. I know I missed having you all to lean on. A quick update has her NICband for about a month. She had some trouble with the fit in the beginning. Her orthist remolded and the one does seem to fit better. She's not adjusting that well, she really hates it being on. especially when the weather got warm. (Very sweaty). I know they can put air holes but I don't know if that would help. Anyone have any thoughts? take care, (MOM2SHANNON)
Guest guest
Hi , Thanks for the update on . I'm glad to hear the second fit seems better. I know that we have had some members have the holes drilled to let the heat escape. I would ask the orthotist if he could do it- sounds like a good idea to alleviate some of that heat that's causing her to sweat so much. Good luck! Please keep checking in! Guest guest
Hi My son has a locally made helmet and there is 4 holes on the top to allow heat to escape. If he never had these holes, he would have melted away. My son is also not adjusting well to the helmet during the day. A night he is fine. Hang in there. I KNOW how hard it is when they don't adjust right away. Dana (mom to ) helmet 04/17/02 > Sunflower > Hello, > > Its been a while since I posted. My computer went down. Guest guest
: I'm glad that you had recasted & rec'd a new band so fast. It's important that these issues are resolved quickly or else valuable time could be lost! So you did the right thing by getting a new band In Abby's 2nd mo of so of her STARband we had air holes drilled into it. It really didn't help Abby's sweating much though. I really hope she adjusts to wearing it very soon. I can imagine how frustrating it is for you. Hang in there & please be sure you keep us updated. Good luck. Guest guest
, Welcome back!! I think you should go for the airholes!! Any bit of ventilation is sure to help. Sorry to hear that she is not adjusting too well, but hopefully things will begin to improve soon. Marci (Mom to ) Oklahoma
