Guest guest
Christi, Sounds like you all had a blast at the zoo!! And I'm sure the kids loved the hotel stay, and the pool! Better that Mya had the band off to help the rash, the last thing you need is an uncomfortable baby because of a nasty rash with a band irritating it. The few days out of it I don't feel would make or break her progress! Thanks for the update! Keep us posted ' Mom
Guest guest
Hi All! Well Mya went to her CT appointment on Friday and when the orthotist saw the big red rash on Myas forehead she told me I needed to leave her out of her band untill it completly went away even if that meant a couple of days. So I was a bit upset that she had to be out of her band at all. But it made the zoo on saturday so much easier with no band on her head. We had a great time at the SC zoo. The kids enjoyed it. We spent the night in a hotel and they had an outdoor pool so we went swimming. IT was soo hot so that was great! So anyway still on sunday the rash was getting better but still not gone so we didnt end up putting the band back on till monday. SO now she is back in her band and we are praying for no more rashes that would require her to be out of her band. CT also gave me a name of a powder I can rub in the band and on Myas head to stop her from sweating so much. You have to ask for it from a pharmacy. THey keep it behind there. ANyway if anyone is interested in the name I can let you know I dont have it right here with me so I cant remember. But all is well here even though I didnt want mya out of her band at all it was nice to have my sweet girl out ofthe band for a couple days. I had forgotton how pretty she was without it. and I enjoyed running my hands through her hair. It was nice but I am looking forward to lots more improvement on her crooked head with her band on. Guest guest
Christi: It sounds like you had a great weekend band free! I know it's a bummer for her not to be wearing her band, but it is nice to get a break . I'm happy to hear her rash finally went away. I hope she doesn't get another rash, but if she does I hope the powder will help. Have you seen good improvement so far? thanks for your update. Debbie Abby's mom DOCgrad MI > Hi All! Guest guest
Debbie Hi and thanks. Yeah we have seen improvement so far. Her forehead which was really pushed forward which I never even noticed before. ANd now looking back I can see how flat her forehead. ALso her flat side is coming along nicely. Still got a ways to go but the improvement so far is amazing being that shes only been in the band a month and half. CHristi mom to MYA > > Hi All! Guest guest
Hi yes the kids loved it! ANd yeah the orthotist said it wouldnt stop progress because it was better for mya to be out of the band for a couple days then a couple weeks later on if the rash got worse or even infected. So I am glad it is healed up. Christi mom to mYa > Christi, > Sounds like you all had a blast at the zoo!! And I'm sure the kids loved the > hotel stay, and the pool!
