Guest guest
Thank you all for your responses and kind wishes. My wife and I were certainly reassured that we weren't paranoid and that we need to be proactive advocates for our child's health. It turns our that has mild Left tort with the plagiocephaly resulting for the consistent on the back position. We have begun doing stretches and tummy time activities to begin to increase ROM and neck strength. In addition I got our pediatrician to refer us for a Physical Therapy evaluation. I am also looking for a specialist in the Los Angels area to examine his plagiocephaly. I've heard good things about Dr. Grahm the Director of the Pediatric Outatient Clinic at Cedars Sinai in LA. The clinc may aslo be known as Cedars-Sinai Medical Center's Craniofacial Clinic. Has anyone heard of this facility or Dr. Gtahm? I read that he the president of the Society of Craniofacial Genetics. I am hopeful that since is only 9 weeks old we have a great head start. Also, can anyone recommend a sleep/positioning pillows or foam products to help him sleep on his back with his heard rotated to the Left? I tried rolling up towels last night and placing them under his right side so he tilts to the left. Unfortunately, he wiggled them loose and I found him in his old tilted position this monrning. Sorry for the long message. I promise that as I learn more I will send it out to the group in hope it may be of assistance.
