Guest guest
I am glad Dr Grim asked the question, although it did occur to me too. I was worried about this to and only use it when things are dry. From what I read this is a rare problem if you wash your humidfier part from time to time. Guest guest
As Wm C Dement MD PhD from Stanford, one of the two founders of sleep research says in his book /The Promise of Sleep,/ " a humidifier, tube and mask can be completely safe if cleaned weekly or semi-weekly with white vinegar. . . the constant dry air will rough up airway tissues much more than humidified air. " Respironics may present a number of pecadillos, but failure to test the humidifiers isn't one of them, he said. My daughter lived in Denver for years before I got diagnosed and properly advised on PA and BP. My nose used to bleed there too. So did Varda's bleed in Denver before his final stroke in Mexico City. You are constellating multiple risky behaviors into one ski session, I must say. Concerned, Dave p.s. PA pts seem to have a worse magnesium deficiency than most First Worlders have (perhaps from processed diet), and my wise old primary who's worked with PA for decades got me on a supplement and all signs of constipation disappeared. It was hard to locate one without calcium but I did (citrate tablets - the pharmacy liquid did nothing). airlinerg wrote: > > I am not using a humidifier so far and don't use one with my cpap to > prevent bacterial buildup. > > > > > > > > In a message dated 1/12/08 8:49:22 AM, airlinerg@... writes: > > > > > > > > > > I have hyperaldosteronism.
