Guest guest
Hi Debbie: Saw your reply to the Detroit post. That reminded me, aren't you headed off to the Bahamas soon? If so, have a great time! I totally jealous How's Kendall coming along in her band? Seen much more improvement? I hope things are improving for her Debbie Abby's mom DOCgrad MI >
Guest guest
Boo Hoo. No, our trip got cancelled. My in-laws boat had a problem with the refrigeration unit and they had to bring it back to the States. Our free place to stay went away, so the vacation did too. I'm totally bummed (should have left yesterday). I guess now we don't have to worry about Kendall getting a sunburn (especially with this weather lately, huh?). We're getting very slow improvement at this point (she's nearly 18 months old now), but Kay still says she sees improvement at each appointment, so we are still trudging along. I'm pretty happy with the results we have gotten though. I've decided that when she finally "graduates" we'll have to hide the helmet. She's gotten really attached to it, and wants it on even during her hour off (she's had one since last July). She may have more issues adjusting to not having it than she did when she first got it. Go figure! Go figure! Debbie: That is hilarious! I guess her band is her security bankie or pacifier! I haven't heard of this before - but she has spent the past year almost in a helmet huh so who can blame her! That's adorable. Thanks for the update, I hope she hits another good growth spurt before she graduates Happy travels in the mean time. Guest guest
Hiya to you too, Debbie! We have an appointment on Monday, and I was planning to post an update after that. I am hoping that we'll be given a graduation date then. Last appointment we were told that this could be our last appointment or we could have one more. We just have to wait and see. She'll at least be in the helmet another 3-4 weeks, but I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel! I'll let you know how the appt. goes. Since this MIGHT be our last trip, we are going to enjoy it. We're going to the zoo, the planetarium, and the aquarium and we're making a weekend of it. No matter what CT says we'll still have fun! Thanks for asking and for thinking about us. I appreciate it. Hopefully I'll have great news to tell next week. Guest guest
That is good news Debbie I remember how excited I got when they told us " just 2 more weeks " ....then when I got her " diploma " I was so geeked! I heard they have a wonderful zoo there, I'm sure Kendall will love it. She's at a great age for zoos. We never went to it, but thought about it. Good luck at the appt., I'll keep my fingers crossed that it'll be your LAST (finally!). Thanks for the update.
