Well, we've received the first denial

Hi,

Today we found out that CCN/Mountain States Administrative Services has

denied the request for coverage of Mackenzie's band. I haven't seen the

letter myself but got the call from Cranial Tech about noon today.

Tracey stated that it simply said that it was not a medical necessity.

Well, tomorrow, I'm going to pick up the package that CT has that says

how to go about the appeal process as well as a letter of medical

necessity from her neurosurgeon's office. I know I will be referencing

the files here to help me in this ordeal.

Has anybody here ever dealt with CCN/Mtn States in reference to getting

a DOCband? If so, has anybody won an appeal with them? If you have, I'd

love any help I can get in dealing with them.
