Guest guest
Hi all.. My twins Zack and Zoey are two months old and both have plagiocephaly, though Zack's is much more pronounced. We have been using the Baby Abby sleep positioner with " soft " pillow for the last month, and the condition has only become more pronounced. Our pediatrician is trying to set us up with an appointment with a doctor at Children's Hospital in Boston (we live on the North Shore). We're going to begin some aggressive repositioning with loads of supervised tummy-time to see if we can round things out a little. Do I have a shot at avoiding the helmet? I don't have any great arial views of the twins..here's a fairly recent one from behind. http://www.shutterfly.com/osi.jsp?i=67b0de21b302b95ba4d5 Thanks! Guest guest
Hello and welcome - I've read a couple of the posts that have already been made to you and it looks like you have gotten some pretty good advice. I agree that at 2 months of age you have a GREAT chance at getting some good correction with the repositioning. It's just like you say - aggressive repositioning and loads of supervised tummy time should really help. We have several people in the group that have used helmets from Childrens so that could be an option for you on down the road if the repositioning doesn't give you all the correction you need/want. Do either of your babies have tort? If so you will need some PT to work that problem out. Good luck and I REALLY hope you will keep us posted on how the repositioning works. We LOVE to hear those repositioning success stories!! Marci (Mom to ) Oklahoma
