Guest guest
Kelli - Maybe they sent you the wrong headsicle. That is weird. I'm glad you posted this though because we were going to get an exit casting, but if it's not going to be correct, I'm not doing that again - no way! Guest guest
Hiya Kelli! So good to hear from you again . I hope little Em is doing well, I have no doubt she's getting into all sorts of trouble running around & stuff . YES, I felt exactly the same way you feel about Em's exit mold. I KNOW Abby rec'd very good correction, but when I got her exit mold I really didn't see much correction vs. her beginning mold, other than the point in the back of her head was gone & that her head had gotten bigger! I too was disappointed after we got the exit mold back, so I know just what you are saying! You know that Em's headshape improved drastically, I've also seen Em's before & after photos with good improvement. So do what I did, shove the exit mold in the closet & stop obsessing over it! Abby did not handle her exit casting well, I remember you saying Em didn't either. So I'm guessing that our strong wiggling screaming girls might have something to do with a not so accurate mold, esp. seems how CT doesn't need to be as precise with the exit mold as the original for obvious reasons. It's good to hear from you again! Have a great Mother's Day! Debbie Abby's mom DOCgrad MI > Hi everyone, it's me again. Guest guest
Hi...lol. Yes, she's a regular speed demon anymore.. Thank goodness I wasn't the only one who thought this way. I wish now I had NOT done the cast. It was pretty traumatic for her. Our girls ages at the exit mold didn't help I'm sure. I know I couldn't hold her and she was screaming bloody murder too. No bottle or pacifier would work this time around. Yep, I'll just shove it away too. Happy Mommy's day to you also!!! Kel > > Hi everyone, it's me again. Guest guest
We personally chose not to go through the exit casting with - he had already been through it twice and we had seen enough results visually to be satisfied. The procedure is entirely up to the parents at CT whether or not you want to do it. ' Mom

Guest guest
kelli sorry to hear about your exit mold. Now I am wondering if when Mya is finished if I should even bother with the exit mold and put her through that. DO you get to keep the molds when its all done? I agree with everyone else. Throw it in the closet and forget it. Christi mom to MYA (DOC band 3/6/02) > Hi everyone, it's me again. Guest guest
You do have the option of not having it done. Yes, if you request a head mold, then one will be provided for you. At least CT with the DOC bands will mail one to you... I'm not sure of the others. I think in Debbie and my cases, our little girls were so old, they fought tooth and nail the exit casting. So it could have affected the end casting, at least I'm hoping that's so...lol. Kelli > > Hi everyone, it's me again. Guest guest
It's a shame that the cast is wrong, but as long as the head did improve then who cares ~lol~. Maybe you did get the wrong head! I would take it back and show them the difference just to be sure. Ana & Jace (banded 4/5/02)
