Guest guest
Hi everyone, it's me again. I finally got my exit head mold back. Did any of you that got them find that they weren't true? Her little band fit, with no space between the opening area left. it had closed as her head got rounder. When I got the exit mold, i looked at it, and thought... geez, we could have gotten tons more correction, and was a bit peeved. then I put her band on it, to compare it to what her head looked like when she finished the band... Yep I remember EXACTLY... I watched her little noggin every day for correction. The band didn't fit it, huge gap around the area of opening of the band, huge gap around her flat spot, and forehead. You couldn't put your fingers in her band at the end, not even close to it, but with this exit mold you sure could. So...lol, we put her band on her head, she's grown of course, but I didn't do anything to snug it down... don't laugh, but she loved it. We could have had more correction I'm sure of it. she's not bad... we still have a flat spot, but with her hair, no one notices it. so, back to the molds... I put them both together... the only difference between the two, is that one is slightly more rounded in the pointy area's. Has anyone out there been disappointed in their exit molds? I KNOW mine isn't correct. Guess it will have to do though, because I would never put her through it again, that exit was just plain aweful. Kelli and Em 10-05-01 to 02-05-02 DOCband Grad Kelmi_4@... Guest guest
Hi Kelli - we didn't get an exit casting - it is not something that our ortho did at the time (don't know if he does it now, but I doubt it.). I'm sorry to hear that you were disappointed with the exit mold, but if you think it is not correct then it probably isn't. Don't worry too much - you (and maybe a few members of the plagio police) are probably the only one who really notices any residual effects! Guest guest
Thank you , it's seems like ages ago now though. She's growing by leaps and bounds, and so cute. every day is different. We have our trying days, whew. I love her to pieces reguardless!!! already in a 2T length wise, way over the chart in height. And only 17 months old. She loves to run everywhere, and although quiet, she does have times where she tried to imitate things we say. Last night it was thank you. I would say thank you, after she would give me papers off the floor, and she would say her version of it, laugh and hand me something else for me to say it again, only to repeat the process about 7 times...lol. Shes trying two words at a time, shocked me. I so love every stage of her life. While I wish sometimes she were older, to get past this stage of pointing and saying ehhh at everything. enough to drive me loony i swear...lol. I'll email a picture soon. And he's copping major attitude if he doesn't get his way. I guess its this stage when they are between babyhood and new independence. is saying more now, and it happened it seemed overnight because I was concerned he wasn't saying much. All of a sudden he's trying to imitate us too with words. I know how Debbie feels when its so frustrating for them to want to tell you what they want but they just can't and you play "this?" "what?" "tell mommy"- I'm sure once they do start really talking we'll wish we were back at this stage!! I agree with your post, everday is different and it is really so much fun to watch them develop!
