Guest guest
This is what the gal wrote me about the cortisol/aldosterone link: " i think you can trust your Cortisol 4xd saliva test however.. your saliva results = high , --and your Serum aldosterone tests , which were really High as i recall,, help to confirm that your DT Saliva cortisol tests were Good/ accurate! apparently it is very common for someone who has HIgh cortisol to have High aldosterone . (amd vice versa???) may be because they both respond to ACTH rising (tho A. in an " indirect " way) -i have also learned that Cortisol acts as a Mineralcorticoid (ie ALdosterone) cuz they share the Same receptors,!, (a particular Enzyme is supposed to " turn off " some cortisol at some receptors so that Aldosterone can go there they must work and play and share well with each other, there are a few different causes of why they don't play well , some genetic,, and i just recently read something,, that seemed to suggest,, that the very fact your body is producing tons of cortisol, and not clearing it fast enough (the job of other enzymes and systems like the liver can *cause the problem with the A. and C. not playing well together.. iow one sutdy i saw suggested that getting your cortisol down, can help your aldosterone come down!.. " So, what do you guys think??? Sounds reasonable to me, given the stress of dealing with 2 mentally ill people in the house. Also, the report which I referenced in my last e-mail said that I may have noctural hypoglycemia. Which, I wonder, how would you treat that? Wake yourself up at night to have a snack? Nada.
