Hi!

Does Cranial Technologies do an exit casting? My son

Jake may be graduating June 3rd but I was not told of

an exit casting.

Thanks!

Elena:

Whether or not you get an exit cast done is entirely the parent's

decision. Cranial Tech does offer exit casts & the exit cast does

not cost extra. It's nice to see the after results of the exit cast

head mold to compare to the beginning cast.

p.s..Let us know when Jake is an official Grad!!! How does his head

look?

Elena they can do an exit casting but it is not required-it is really up

toyou. If you want them then ask them if you can have one done-they wont mind

at all. Congratulations on the graduation-you must be excited. How does

Jake's head look?

Snuggle it for us!

Exit casting

Today we finished all our paperwork at StraightAhead. Karmel Ross talked me into doing the exit cast. How could I say no to her after all she has done?!

Guy wasn't there, so Olivia had to entertain herself. She didn't even notice what was going on! So much for being the caring older sister. He actually did much better than I expected. I was expecting him to be thrasing around and arching his back, but he didn't at all. He was more upset about getting measured. I can't understand why that makes him so mad!

We just have to go pick up his exit headsicle when it comes back. Thanks for all your encouragement. It seems like just yesterday when I was hohumming about the DOC Band and joined this group. At the time I thought it was such an ordeal. You guys made is an effortless decision and a very painles journey.

I've attached a picture of KKR (or Mrs. to Olivia) and Dane. He wasn't so thrilled about the picture because he was still mad about being measured! I'm sure he will miss his girlfriend, Mrs. .

LOL! DH laughed at me when I told him that I wanted to get KKR's

book and have her autograph it so Dane could have it later. I'm

sure she will auto it if you'd like.

Dane was discharged from PT Thur, so we will be going through some

serious withdrawl!

We are so lucky she is nearby. We were sent to another PT in

November. Dane went 2x and was discharged. Then when we went to

get the band, KKR put him back in therapy. He was in PT for 5 more

months. I am appalled when I look at pictures of Dane from January

that I didn't notice - and more inportantly the PT didn't notice-the

tort was nowhere near gone. Hohum! We are so lucky that she is

just 15 minutes away!

So glad that the exit casting is done and that it went okay. It really does

seem that Dane flew through his treatment! Dane is such a cutie - even when

he is ticked.

I was surprised to read you did go thru with Dane's exit casting

after all! That's great - especially if you are worried about

regression at all :). I'm glad he tolerated it pretty well, he

didn't look too thrilled in the picture with " Mrs. " ..hehe. I

still can't get over how perfect his head looks! That's good that

Olivia didn't see the casting, if she would have, I'm sure she would

have been a protective big sister.

Sounds like those in-laws are very superficial!!! At least Dane has some

smart cookies for parents that don't give a damn what other people think!! I

would get so ticked when people would act like there was something really

wrong with - but you know what? I really don't give a damn what they

thought! And good for you all for going against the grain and doing the

right thing for Dane!!!! My parents gave me the same, " there's nothing

wrong- your overreacting " treatment in the beginning, but at least they came

around once results were proof positive!

I wonder if Dane thinks he's about to get pt when people mess with his head?

Sometimes didn't want our hands near his head because he knew pt was

coming (poor thing- but we wouldn't be where we are now without it!).

By the way, how is your friend doing with the young baby with tort? Has she

started going to pt yet?

P.S. Now that Dane has graduated don't start dissappearing on us- we need

your valuable insight and experience!!!!

The casting wasn't that bad. For some reason he gets soooo mad when

he gets measured that is why he was PO. I figured the exit cast

could end up helping us with our insurance fight.

I thought you would find this funny! We went to my FIL and SMIL

this weekend. I took Dane's headsicle and DOC Band to show them how

much correction he received. They were never supportive of our

decision. They are very into what other people think and said it

was uncomfortable for Dane. We got Dane's pictures taken in the

band and they neither carry them in their wallets or have any

displayed in their house. I think they were also put off by Dane's

apnea monitor when he was a newborn! Geez, unconditional love,

huh? Anyhow, my FIL kept saying " He was always fine. I can't

believe you put him through all of that. " DH said we didn't put him

through anything, he didn't care one bit and that FIL was just

worried about himself. Why is he so worried about what people

think?! He couldn't comment enough on how awkward Dane's face

looked before the band. When we banded him, he couldn't stop saying

how mean it was. Does this man have any testosterone?
