Triam/HCTZ and ARR

I was on triam/HCTZ for two weeks. My renin increased to 1.35 from 0.4 the

last time I had it checked. That dropped my ARR down from 32.5 to 20.1. Is

that an expected result? I can't see that it has done anything for BP. It

is still bouncing from 135/85 up to 160/95. Anxiety has lessened, probably

as a result of K coming up. Still don't have an endo appointment so I can

get a trial of Inspra. Regular doc won't do it.

It may distort the aldo renin ratio. Which was what we were talking

about.
