JULIE!!! I'm in Overland Park and we have an appt on June 3rd with Dr. Witt, too! I'm not sure if we'll be keeping the appointment, however, as I have been trying to get my son looked at for a long time and finally took him myself to CT (Rehab Designs of America in KC, MO) to get an evaluation. They took all his measurements, showed us before and after head castings, gave us LOTS of literature, we spent a few hours there. Anyway, they categorized Grant's plagio as moderate to severe (MUCH to my surprise. I was amazed to see how off his ears really were and how asymmetrical his head measured). Anyway, after that I asked my ped to order the tests NOW to rule out cranio and then to consider writing the rx himself for the DOCband and having CT do it. We are going tomorrow for the tests at Children's Mercy and then we'll see if our ped still wants us to wait the 2 more weeks for Dr. Witt or if we can push forward. My son is already 8 months and already has a 47 cent. head (big! 95 percentile)...so I'm antsy to get this going. If we do go to DR Witt (may do it for another opinion even if we get started at CT)...maybe I'll see you?! What time is your appt? If you ever want to get together for lunch or something and talk...I'm game. I'm still learning so much and would love to meet someone else in the same boat. Here's a link to a little website I made a while back...just so you can see we're pretty normal people :). http://hometown.aol.com/kkrobben/myhomepage/index.html You may have to hit refresh or reload a few times it has trouble loading sometimes.

:

What terrific new for you & ny. Goes to show you what a small

world it really is when you ask your church to pray for ny & his

plagio, when a plagio specialist is sitting right next to you in

church all this time! That's great!

I saw our other group member, also has an appt the same day as

yours with Dr. Witt. See, small world again ;)

Let us know how the appt goes & what Dr. Witt recommends. Good luck.
