Can anyone comment on whether child is experiencing sleeping problems

with the STARBAND on? It appears to cause more irritability at night

during sleeping than during the day. Thank you for any input on this.

Hi & welcome to our group!

How long has your child been wearing their STARband? If it is fairly

new yet, your child might just need time to adjust to sleeping in

it. It is quite rare for a child not to tolerate the band well, but

I have heard of it happening. I am hoping the band is still new &

your child will soon adjust. If not, perhaps it is a bit too tight

or not fitting comfortably, you might want to check with the

orthotist to make sure.

Would you mind telling us a bit more about your child & plagio?

Thanks!

Both of my twins wore the STARband, and other than the first night or

so, they didn't have any trouble sleeping in their bands. If your

child is new to wearing the band, then it just may be a matter of an

adjustment being needed. Maybe you can dress your child in lighter

clothing for bedtime, or have a fan on in their room. That might

help reduce some of the irritability.
