The are very similar products. You have to remember that it's not

just the quality of the product but the level of service that comes

with it. At your son's young age, he will need weekly adjustments,

so if you do go with the STARband, make sure that is included in the

price.

My son had a DOC Band and we got 100% correction, so it was worth

all the time and money for us. I know other people have been

equally thrilled with the STARBand (like Niki) because they had

excellent orthotists who were well trained on plagio. That is the

key. The DOC folks all know their stuff in and out. You need to

interview the STARBand orthotists because they are independent.

Where do you live? Perhaps someone here can recommend an orthotist

to you.

Sorry! I forgot to add this link! Here are some severe cases which

were treated by the DOC Band. I thought you might be interested in

seeing them since the Dr. told you your son had the most severe case

he had seen. I assume there are pictures on the orthomerica site

too. You might want to investigate over there before making a

decision!
