Guest guest
The are very similar products. You have to remember that it's not just the quality of the product but the level of service that comes with it. At your son's young age, he will need weekly adjustments, so if you do go with the STARband, make sure that is included in the price. My son had a DOC Band and we got 100% correction, so it was worth all the time and money for us. I know other people have been equally thrilled with the STARBand (like Niki) because they had excellent orthotists who were well trained on plagio. That is the key. The DOC folks all know their stuff in and out. You need to interview the STARBand orthotists because they are independent. Where do you live? Perhaps someone here can recommend an orthotist to you. Guest guest
Sorry! I forgot to add this link! Here are some severe cases which were treated by the DOC Band. I thought you might be interested in seeing them since the Dr. told you your son had the most severe case he had seen. I assume there are pictures on the orthomerica site too. You might want to investigate over there before making a decision! http://www.cranialtech.com/help/before.html Dane's mom DOC Grad > > My son's craniofacial specialist is urging me to get a STAR Band > > locally instead of a DOC Band.
