Guest guest
Gail: That's interesting! That means there are a lot of parents out there concerned with their child's head shape & would like to get a helmet/band to help correct it. Hmmm, you sure are right. The word definitely needs to get out about plagio & banding. Thanks for sharing that. Debbie Abby's mom DOCGrad MI > Here's a good example of just how uninformed the general public is. Today I was shopping at The Right Start - you know, the way overpriced store that supposedly has the latest and greatest things for your baby. I went in just to buy some of those great bibs with complete long sleeves because my babies are such a feeding disaster. Anyway, the clerk began to ask me about Sam and Sara's headbands, especially if I had them " custom made " or not. I explained the process of casting and head molds, and also about weekly adjustments as the child grows, and she said it made a lot of sense. Then she told me that she has had several different people come into the store and ask if they sold them. They thought that surely a store like The Right Start would carry them, and shouldn't you just be able to buy one if you needed it? What are they thinking?!?! Let's get the word out! > > Gail
Guest guest
That's what I am saying too....and if Hammerly is serious the word will be out here in North Texas....I was one of the ignorant people who thought that the kids with the bands were banging theirs heads or fell alot and they were for protection....and now I feel so stupid for ever thinking that especially now that my child is in this situation....I want to educate as many people as I can and I told CT about my e-mail and they were excited about it too...Gail I know us North Tx Moms can do this and the more we bring attention to it I think the more it will pressure the drs and insurance companies to get on the ball. If parents know what to look for or even just signs and ways to position to help it would be Great....I am in this for the long haul...this is my new venture to EDUCATE others and be a insurance companies worst night mare because I am a fighter....Trisha -----Original Message-----From: Gail [mailto:momofivftwins@...]Sent: Monday, May 13, 2002 2:51 PMPlagiocephaly Subject: Where can I get one of those?
