Guest guest
- Her body temperature will need to adjust when she first gets the band. You will get all the instructions at CT. We wiped Dane's head down every 2-3 hours for a couple of days. He started sleeping in it I think the 2nd or 3rd night. We took advantage of the time he was sleeping without it to paint it. That way the paint had plenty of time to dry properly and we could apply a few coats. Good luck. You will see results quickly! Dane's mom DOC Grad > I am so anxious to start this! Guest guest
: Good luck! You probably have the band by the time you're reading this post, how'd everything go? It is very common for babies to sweat a lot for the first few days to a week - after that their body temps adjust & they sweat will diminish a lot. Hope all is well - let us know! Guest guest
Hi Mya started sleeping in her band the second night. The first night she probably wouldve been able to but we were in a hotel and she was not used to sleeping in a strange hotel so I think that had a lot to do with it. Mya did sweat a lot the first couple of days but that soon passed as her body temperature adjusted. We are a little over 2 months into her DOC band and we have seen lots of changes. her head is rounding , ears are shifting. Its amazing. We still have a lot of improvement to go. But it is just great to see that it is working. And we started seeing improvement after the first 2 weeks. ANyway good luck and keep us posted on how everything is going Christi mom to MYA (DOC band 3/6/02) > I am so anxious to start this! To see results start to show!! Guest guest
, My hubby went with my mom to pick up the band with and failed to mention to me that we needed to wipe the sweat away every 2-3 hours the first couple of days- needless to say, he developed a heat rash- that we treated with cortisone. Once the couple of days was over, he was fine and the rash was pretty much gone. Good luck! ' Mom
Guest guest
HI , I am sooo excited for you!! Yes, you will work up to the 23 hours, first an hour or so, then a couple hours, then tomorrow during naptime and if all goes well you can start with it at night. In regards to the sweat, we have never had that problem, I use cornstarch and that seems to do the trick but I think you are getting a different type of helmet so not sure. Well, be sure to let me know how it goes, or leave a post on TS for me, or email me, or whatever, I just want to hear all the details!! Anxiously waiting!!!!
