Guest guest
Sheila, When finished her helmet she was 15 1/2 months old. We did not get 100% correction and getting a new helmet wasn't really an option for us because of her age and the fact that we were using a locally made helmet. Unless I am totally fooling myself I have noticed some slight improvment over the 10 months she has been out of the helmet. I am the only one who really notices anything at this point. I understand our concerns - can you post a picture? Maybe we can give you some feedback on how she looks. My guess is she probably looks beautiful! Guest guest
When we saw the Cranialfacial Specialist on Friday, he told us that most heads continue to round out until about age 5, or even a few years later. He said that we won't get 100% correction because of Timmy's age (8 1/2 months), but even after he outgrows the DOC band, his head will continue to round out some. The thing is that without treatment, it will round some, but it will never be able to get close to normal looking. The band will help us to get him to near normal roundness. ~ (mom to Timmy) ~Connecticut Re: still flatness after graduation. Please share. Sheila,When finished her helmet she was 15 1/2 months old.
