Guest guest
Looking Great!!! love the pig tails...Beautiful family...Trisha RE: From Aileen's mom Sheila: Like I mentioned, Abby graduated almost 1 yr ago with about 50-60% correction. Noone but those who know how bad her plagio was before her DOCband notice any remaining flatness and/or assymetries. You mentioned looking at the other plagio child while in pigtails. I thought I'd send our family Christmas photo taken Nov 2001 of Abby, my husband & I. Abby has her hair up in pig tails - I don't think anyone would notice her assymetries while in pigtails. Take a look at it - maybe it will help put your mind at ease. BTW, Aileen's top view of her head looks better than Abby's did at her graduation date last June! Let us know what you decide. Good luck. Debbie Abby's mom DOCGrad 6/22/01 MI pic taken end of Nov 2001, 5 mos after DOC graduation Thank you for all of your responses. I do really appreciate it so much. I cried to her PT at Cranial this week. You all made me feel so much better. I know you all know how it is to love these little babies soo much it hurts! Her OT is giving me a name of someone who lives nearby who I can visit with. Her daughter graduated with assymetries a year ago, and her son is prob. going into a second band soon. She thought it might make me feel better to see her daughter in pig tails, and see if I even notice the the assymetries. And then there is the option of another band which we really did not want. Her OT said it is subjective, but classifies her now as low moderate to mild. Your advice and input has helped me tremendously. We have probably all trained our eyes now to see these asymmetries and they must seem worse to me. Her right cheek is fuller and eye a bit bigger. But my right eye is also bigger! Her OT said as she gets older, her cheeks are less fuller, and less noticeable. I will give you an update when I can assure you I am finally at ease. Congrats to you all too for being such great moms. Every sentence that each of you sent was more helpful than you could know!
