It is worth going there to feel better plus I could stay in a tent at a

campground and the wind doesn't blow 50 mph every week.

Bob, I live in Phoenix area & the weather has been great this winter. Only in

the 40's at night. This weekend it should reach 80's. Loni

How are you holding up with all the pesticide spraying for West Nile?

Loni:

i used to live in Tempe and it was not dry like up here in Vegas. The

summer monsoons were making it so damp it was horrible. Also, I notioced

one thing that really annoyed me to no end about AZ. The first

night...mid-august, aside from losing power, then the fire alarms were

going off every 20 minutes, was the smell of chlorine int he water.

It reminded me of the water in the hotels in Frisco area. I learned VERY

fast about RO, Cl- filters etc.

I know when we took a quick trip from Phx- Tucson I made the FATAL mistake

of keeping the windows down....there shouldhave been signs about the

pesticides they were using to control the bugs on the cotton. Very hard

lessons that day!

I'll take my hot, dry heat 350 miles north of you anytime LOL

I have been racking my brain...whats left of it, there was a health food

co-op near ASU I think on Broadway...do you know the name of it? Also,

there was a very large health food store just a little SW of Baseline that

I think was part of a chain..not Trader Joes or Whole Foods..I think it

was the name of a female????????

> Hi Bob, I guess it is true the air is not the best but you can live in some

surrounding areas that are fresher. My sister lives up by the Superstition

Mountains & the air seems to be cleaner there. It is further away from the city

& higher in altitude (a little).

> Rarely is it windy. Not humid, dry. Mold does come from the water leaks. As

far as bringing the mold spores in (I guess on your clothes): I would not worry

about that. You cannot totally rid yourself of mold because it is everywhere

(outside). Your tent should be fine. We just need to be careful of overexposure.

The outdoors is supposed to have more spores & in normal conditions does but I

feel the best outdoors rather than my house. My test showed more spores outside

than inside so go figure. I think I could be allergic to my dog but the kids

would never let me give the dog away. Ha - I guess I'm stuck there!!! There

are lots of rv parks here also.

> Hi Loni, some people have told me the air is not that great in Phoenix, is

that so? I feel like I am close healthwise where I may need to be leaving here

soon. I have looked at travel trailers but mentioned before that he

cross-contaminated his first several travel trailers and I am afraid this is

what I would do. I don't mind living in a tent but I have found that the

RV/campgrounds really do not like long-term tents. It messes up their grass.

Does the wind blow hard there and often? I guess since the humidity is so low

there that mold growing in homes comes from leaks? It is so humid here that I

can be outside all day and bring a bunch of mold spores into my place. Will mold

spores grow without enough moisture?
