Guest guest
Hello to all: Well, after last week's bad day, I have more good news. My Cranial Osteopath wrote the prescription for Rhiannon's DOC band (he's an MD, with a DO specialty), so we don't have to see the neurosurgeon in Madison. This works well for us, so we can get her casted early on Monday morning and start our drive home. (If we had had to see the neurosurgeon we would have had to wait until 3:00 p.m. for the script, then do the casting.) So, we are very excited, and ready for Monday. I know the casting will be hard, but hey, it will be over soon and we'll be on our way. We will have to drive 5 hours 1 way each week, but I have just surrendered to that fact and it will be OK. Like I told my husband, if we would have had to travel to Brazil, we would do it. (It would have been more fun to travel to Brazil for 2 months, but oh well, our cards came up with Madison, Wisconsin. LOL) My mom will be traveling with Rhia and myself most of the trips, as my husband has to be at work (mandatory overtime). So, we will just make the most of it and come August it will all be behind us! Here's to big growth spurts to all our little ones in bands. Thanks to all who have gone before me and have excellent advice to those of us experiencing this situation now. BTW, I will be checking into Angelflight, and hope that we can use it at least a couple of times. Did I mention I'm in school right now too? I'm hoping I won't miss too many classes, but hey, my baby comes first. Kind regards, , Rhiannon's mom
Guest guest
, Great news that the wheels are finally in motion for Rhia! You sound very at peace now and I'm so glad that you finally found some educated people to steer you in the right direction (if only for referrals! You have a fantastic attitude about the drives, it really is great that you are acknowledging that this will be a brief moment of time in Rhia and your family's lives, and the results will be so rewarding I'm sure! Good luck to you and please keep us posted! ' Mom
Guest guest
, Sounds like things continue to go well for you and Rhia. Glad to hear that your mom will be able to accompany you on your long trips. That will truly make a difference! Good wishes to you and let us know how the casting goes.
