Guest guest
Ellen, Great news that Amy handled the casting well- what a little trooper! Now on to rounder shapes! Here a few of the tort links you might need: Stretches/ Holds Torticollis Info and Links I used to have so many more until my computer crashed! Check into the group: www.torticolliskids for tons of tips and info from other parents as well. The tort can be very stubborn, and its something that needs to be watched until the age of 2 as regression can occur if not closely monitored. A few tips to help that tilt for a 12 month old: sit her on your lap facing the tv- tilt her towards her tort side- you will tilt her kind of side saddle and the body has a natural instinct to keep the head upright, so she will have to use that non-tort muscle to pull the head back midline- this strengthens that weak muscle on the non-tort side and helps work on that tilt.....if you make a game out of it like a rocking ship or something, it should go over well. If you need more tips, please feel free to email me anytime. ' Mom
Guest guest
Ellen, Woo Hoo - soooo glad to hear that you received coverage with no hassles!! Great news! Sounds like Amy did really well - what a little trooper. I'm sure and others will give you some great tort links and some advice about finding a good PT. I don't really have any experience with that. Let us know when Amy goes for her fitting. Marci (mom to ) Oklahoma
