I've been reading ya'lls posts, and I am so thankful there are people

to chat with about our plagio babies.

I have a 6month old ds named Logan.

Last Thursday I found out that our insurance, Cigna, has denied our

docband. Friday the doctor's office called to inform me that the

doctor himself was going to call Cigna and explain the medical

necessity.

Well, I of course have called the dr's office everyday this week to

find out the outcome. I finally was able to speak to the dr's

secretary about 20 minutes ago, and she said that she didn't know and

that she would call me back.

I'm so tired of waiting, I had to wait 5 weeks after his head

measurments just to find out that we were denied. I just want to know

if I should start gathering info for my appeal, and go ahead and

schedule a casting.

Hi Tina & welcome to our group!

We have a lot of Cigna insurance sufferers in our group - however, I

have been so happy to read of a few Cigna approvals recently! So

there is hope for you that Cigna will approve the band for your son!

It is definitely a good idea though to start gathering as much

information as you can right now to be prepared if Cigna does in fact

turn you down. There is some Cigna appeal information in our " Files "

section, then help folder, then insurance issues. Maybe you could

find help there?

You might want to go ahead & schedule the casting right now if you

don't want to wait any longer. I am sure CT will require a pymt of

some sort though before they will cast Logan. You'd have to set that

up with them before hand.

We're happy you have found our group! Logan is still at a great

younger age to receive great corrrection with the band! Please keep

us updated and don't hesitate to ask ANY questions!
